We're a Youngish Family who loves the JET SET SMART Lifestyle!
This doesn't mean we travel the world all of the time (though that would be our ultimate dream). Instead we incorporate the jet set life into our life by way of travel, food, fashion and home life in a way that feels like we live a jet set life, but doesn't break the bank...a.k.a. the JET SET SMART way!
Hi, we're Lori and Rich McNally. We started JET SET SMART in 2009 as a way to keep our family and friends in the loop about our jet setting, but it's since evolved into our lifestyle blog. Here you'll be able to read about our travels, our eats, our great shopping finds, and things baby/family/pet related too! This is our way of living a JET SET SMART life without an endless bank account, and we're here to share it all with you.
So how do we do it? Well, we spend a lot of our time working to plan the next fun travel-related activity we want to do, but we're smart about how we make our plans. We'll jet set to great destinations, but we'll go in the off-season to save money. We'll plan lots of road trips (hopping in the car is a fun and easy way to explore). Or, we'll bring a JET SET SMART life into our home by way of decorating our house with fun artwork and furniture from our travels, cooking meals at home we've learned about from jet setting, or doing fun activities as a family (with our son and dog) that are jet set related. It's not always literally about jet setting.
We often find excuses not to live a jet set life- no money, no time off, but we'll show you that if you JET SET SMART you can travel more often, or at least bring more of a JET SET SMART lifestyle into your life. So ask yourself- where do you want to jet set to next? And then let JET SET SMART help you plan your JET SET SMART life (whether it's a vacation or staycation)!

A few more things about us:
- We're high school sweethearts who married in 2006.
- We have an amazing baby boy, Richie, who makes the JET SET SMART life even more fun!

- We are huge animal lovers and have a Yorkshire Terrier named Riley (who also pops up on this blog).
- We have lived in West Palm Beach and Philadelphia, and now call New Jersey home.
- We have traveled to India, Iceland, Korea, Japan, Portugal, Italy, France, England, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela, Bermuda, The Caribbean, Mexico, and many states in the U.S.
- We just bought our first house! A house old enough to be our mom or dad. Were we crazy to do it? We'll have to wait and see!
A little more about that:
We have been lifelong renters, but finally decided to purchase our first house in New Jersey near the beach. We were born and raised in New York City, but thought owning a house close to the ocean would be fun. The house, however is 60+ years old. It has good bones, but for two people who haven't had much DIY experience, this adventure is sure to be interesting to say the least. We are anxious, but definitely excited! (It was so easy to just call up maintenance when we had a leak, a clog, or no heat- now what'll we do???) Part of our reason for buying was lower prices, low interest rates, and wanting to paint/ decorate and make a house our house.
